I’m recording my sermons on Sunday morning for a small church, [...]. See for yourself, quality sounds good. Only downside is that the microphone is not easily hidden.

I got this mic hoping that I would be able to voice record during my field work, but did not really help because people were talking over each other. When kids scream further away, you can not even here person next to you. You definitely need a directional one which my old Olympus’ embedded one works fine.
I think this is a good piece if you are recording in a conference room when people talk one by one, but not in a crowded room. It has a high receptivity, so it will get anything around. It also does not work outside when a plane is flying over.

I am very pleased with this microphone. I’ve used it to record several meetings and even sitting in the back of the room, it is sensitive enough and provides enough stereo directionality that you can hear all the voices clearly and easily take notes from the recording using headphones.

Absolutely love this! Used it for lectures in my Anatomy course and could hear the instructor loud and clear. It was also very easy to use, just plug in and set down.

I have an Olympus WS-331M. I use this to record seminars and lectures. The sound quality is significantly better than the stock mic. Keep in mind you still have to “sit up front” to get a good recording. What I liked was the “lows” the mic was able to pick up. I was apprehensive at first. It was close to $50 at the time, but I took the chance. I’m glad I did.
